Since the shop was founded in 2011, MOOSE in the CITY has undergone quite a transformation. In 2020, its Scandinavian vision with a focus on city, nature, craft, and design was complemented by a drive to go all the way for more sustainability in the coming years.
Ambitious, but not excessive
Based on fairer and more ecological criteria, they screen their Scandinavian brands. If a brand is actively pursuing more sustainability, you will still find it at MOOSE in the CITY. Brands that have no plan of action for a more sustainable fashion future are replaced by super cool established names in the sustainable fashion landscape.
So a genuine new concept store, with established values like Patagonia and Fjällraven, but also with innovative and refreshing brands like My Essential Wardrobe. An unconditional parameter for all their fashionable clothes and interior objects? A ‘sense of beauty’, because more sustainable fashion can also be beautiful! By adding some surprising elements in the concept store, MOOSE in the CITY is betting on the ultimate shopping experience. You can even design and order your own modular String storage system on site or online.
To keep their carbon footprint as low as possible, MOOSE in the CITY opted for a more circular shop design. The new counter was even made entirely out of clay, making it completely biodegradable. Handy if it ever needs to be completely dismantled. The new furniture is also made of remelted plastic or consists of 100% wood, but old furniture is also given a second life in the shop. MOOSE in the CITY has also been committed to zero waste packaging for orders via the webshop for years. For this, the shop only uses recycled boxes from previous deliveries. When it’s high season, they simply knock on neighbours’ doors to use their boxes as well. Cleverly seen, right?
