They manufacture their collections in Barcelona, Italy, Portugal, India and China.
Their knitwear is manufactured in their own country. The Barcelona factory specialises in all types of knitwear. For the recycled part of the collections, they collaborate with a factory in Italy. These factories are subject to the European Working Conditions. These guarantee good working conditions and fair wages for the employees.
The hand embroidery was done by experienced craftsmen in India. Thinking Mu has been working with these people for years and has thus also contributed to the socio-economic development of the country. The prints are made by hand screen printing and block printing. This gives each garment a uniqueness that is not possible with digital printing.
They use sustainable materials such as hemp, GOTS certified organic cotton, ECOVERO™ viscose, recycled polyester, Refibra and Tencel.
In addition, all Thinking MU garments are dyed using a low-impact, biodegradable process. They have a selection of items that are dyed with natural flowers and minerals in a clean, non-toxic and 100% natural dyeing process, thanks to the Instant Colour Technique.
Usan materiales sostenibles como el cáñamo, el algodón orgánico con certificación GOTS, viscosa ECOVERO™, poliéster reciclado portconsumo, Refibra y Tencel.
Thinking Mu is committed to R&D to create the fibres of the future and to fulfil its main commitment to reduce its environmental impact.
They seek in their production not only the sustainability of their cultivation but also the regeneration of the environment where they are grown to return to the earth part of the natural resources that have been exploited.
In addition, they have their own fabric reuse campaign, 0% Waste. They use recycled fibres and circular production processes to design new garments.
Thinking Mu produces its collections in various countries around the world. Subsequently, its garments are distributed in almost every country in Europe, as well as in selected points of sale in Japan, Korea and the United States.
A distinctive feature of the brand is that on each product page they provide traceability information, which allows you to know the distance travelled by the garment from its place of origin to the logistics centre. This information is extremely interesting to determine whether the garment has been manufactured in a nearby environment or not.
Their current collections are totally vegan!
Each garment is carefully designed and made using exclusively vegan materials, without using any animal products. Although we do not know her future plans, so far she has not made use of animal-derived fabrics.
Despite doing their best to estimate the amount of garments needed for each collection, sometimes they are left with some garments at the end of the season. As a solution, they have created “Re-collections”, an initiative that seeks to give a second chance to all these completely useful garments. Instead of wasting them, they put them on sale at a special price so that they can be part of your wardrobe and continue to fulfil their function for much longer.
Being transparent is part of their commitment to customers and to themselves.
They are against greenwashing, words without actions and misleading marketing. That is why all their garments include a label with a QR code that records the history of the garment and measures its environmental and social footprint. And they also display their guarantee seals that you should look for when you demand socially and environmentally responsible practices.
Thinking Mu is a very transparent and honest brand!
