Moose in the City stocks a beautiful range of fashion and design that will immediately transport you to Scandinavia. They decided to make 2020 their year and underwent a complete transformation. They’ve kept their Scandinavian vision with a focus on city, nature, craft and design and have added to it a commitment to become completely sustainable over the next few years.
Ambitious but realistic. On the basis of various ethical and environmental criteria, they reviewed all of their brands. If a brand showed active commitment towards sustainability then they kept it. If a brand had no clear plan of action for a more sustainable fashion future then it was replaced by new super cool brands that have well and truly established themselves in the sustainable fashion landscape.
A totally new concept store then with brands we know and love such as Kings of Indigo and Patagonia as well as new and exciting brands like Superstainable. Another important test their range of clothes and interior objects have to pass? The aesthetics one! To show that sustainable can be beautiful… Moose in the City have created the ultimate shopping experience by adding a number of unique and unexpected experiences to their store. You could even design your own modular String storage system in the store.
Circular shop design to keep their environmental footprint as low as possible and a conscious choice to support sustainable ventures where possible. Their new counter is made entirely out of loam (a mix of clay and sand) so that if it ever needs to be demolished, it is completely biodegradable. Some of their new furniture is made from remelted plastic, and the rest is 100% wood. Their old furniture also got a second life and can be found throughout the new space. Moose in the City has been working for years to make their webshop packaging zero waste. They reuse boxes from deliveries and during the high season when they run out of boxes they just knock on their neighbour’s door to see if they have any going spare. Cool system, right?
