Munich

Munich is blessed with beautiful parks, such as the Nymphenburger with all its pleasure palaces and the Englischer Garten, which runs right through the city’s northern half along the River Isar where surfers have been riding waves since the 70s. Its beer gardens are legendary and a perfect spot to wind down after visiting Munich’s outstanding art district. Pubs, cafes and boutiques are often locally owned and celebrate local products and design.
