Stylish, high quality and affordable vintage clothing
Do you like preloved clothing, but don’t like to search through a large pile of secondhand clothing? Good news, because at the stylish vintage store Céno Classics they’ve curated only the most beautiful vintage and preloved garments of the highest quality. Think high quality natural materials, timeless silhouettes and a neutral color palette. The collection has been carefully put together by mother and daughter, and mother Céline’s years of experience in interior and shop design is reflected in the stylish interior. The name says it all, you can hardly say ‘no’ to the beautiful items hanging in the store. Nice fact: despite the high quality, almost all items in the store are under 100 euros.
You can find Céno Classics in the ‘vintage street’ of Rotterdam, at Zwaanshals 283.
Unique vintage and upcycled clothing and interior accessories
Another vintage gem in the Zwaanshals is Hidden Youth. This unique vintage store is a paradise for lovers of fashion, art, lifestyle and design – it is a place you want to visit over and over again to get inspired and discover new designers. Owner and designer Evana curates the vintage gems based on quality, color, material and also makes unique, upcycled clothing herself that she sells in the store. In addition to clothing, you’ll also find unique vintage accessories, home decoration, art and books here. She regularly goes on buying trips to London, Paris, and Antwerp to score new vintage gems there, so you will find ‘new’ collections here every time!
High-end designer vintage
For vintage clothing from high-end designers such as Maison Margiela, Prada, Comme des Garçons and Dries van Noten, you should go to Maison Maas. In addition to preloved designer clothing and accessories, you’ll also find clothing from local designers and Maas (owner of the store) also has his own label with unique upcycled clothing.
Maison Maas can also be found in the ‘vintage street’ of Rotterdam, at Zwaanshals 297.
Vintage designer clothing and accessories
When you go vintage shopping in the Zwaanshals/Zaagmolenkade area, a visit to SHOWROOM41 is a must. For years, owners Ed and Lione have been collecting the most unique vintage gems from designer brands such as Chloé, Jean Paul Gaultier and Dior. From clothing to shoes and from sunglasses to other accessories. Lione is also a designer and makes unique garments from vintage and ‘leftover’ materials for her own label L.I.O.N.E. Another cool thing: you can also go here for a haircut by Ed, who has years of experience as a make-up artist for photo shoots in the advertising and fashion industry.
Preloved clothing boutique for the modern woman
Secondhand clothing is no longer boring or old-fashioned, and the trendy and colourful secondhand store Ferme Tred proves it once again! Owner Hanna only curates the best possible quality clothing from brands such as Gestuz, Selected Femme, Ganni and American Vintage – and everything is like new. From stylish basics to unique items, Ferme Tred has something to offer for every taste. You can find Ferme Tred at Zwaanshals 470.
Looking for the same style in secondhand children’s clothing? Then visit their store Set est prêt, where you can shop the nicest preloved items for kids.
Secondhand and locally made clothing
You can find more beautiful secondhand clothing and accessories at Ding&Dingen. The store lives up to its name, because there are plenty of nice things to find here. For over 15 years, owner Mariska has been collecting and selling secondhand clothing, with the aim to give clothing a second life. She selects the items with love, washes and repairs the items where necessary. She also has her own DING-collection, locally made clothing from second-hand materials.
Clothing swapstore in Rotterdam
Swapping secondhand and preloved clothing and accessories is possible at The Swapshop Rotterdam! With their concept, founders Laura Suijkerbuijk and Monique Drent want to extend the lifespan of fashion items and make swapping clothes the norm. But do you actually know what swapping entails? Swapping is actually just handing in the clothes you no longer wear and getting ‘swap points’ in return, so you can shop preloved clothing from other swappers. The location of The Swapshop in Rotterdam has recently changed – you can now find them at Weena 70, near Central Station.
Community center with secondhand clothing, a hairdresser and coffee corner
In the south of Rotterdam you’ll find the cosy community center BLEND Bloemhof. Owners Carolien and Hans had the same dream in 2018 to create a nice community spot for local residents. You can now go here for affordable secondhand clothing, a delicious cup of coffee, a chat and a haircut!
BLEND Bloemhof is a social enterprise and this is reflected in everything they do: here you’ll find a mix of honest and affordable products. They often receive the collection of secondhand clothing for women and men as a donation and offer it at fixed, low prices. This way, everyone can go here for a beautiful preloved piece of clothing!
Affordable secondhand clothing and thrift store
Do you like thrift shopping and searching for hidden gems? Then you have come to the right place at the thrift store Het Goed Rotterdam Centrum! Here you can find secondhand clothing, furniture, accessories, books, toys, electronics and more. Visit this location of Het Goed in the center of Rotterdam, near the Markthal, or visit one of the other 5 locations in and around Rotterdam.
Affordable secondhand clothing for women and men
Would you like to buy more secondhand clothing and preferably affordable? Then visit one of the ReShare Stores spread throughout the Netherlands. The Reshare Store in Rotterdam is located in the Korte Hoogstraat, in the heart of the popular shopping area in Rotterdam. Discover affordable secondhand clothing for men and women in the fresh and modern ReShare Store store. Prices start from 2 euros!
ReShare Store is part of the Salvation Army, a non-profit organisation that is committed to the most vulnerable people in society and is also committed to a healthier environment.
Preloved kids clothing of high quality
For beautiful secondhand children’s clothing from more sustainable brands, you should go to Set est prêt. Here you’ll find high quality secondhand children’s clothing from the smallest baby sizes up to size 164 from brands such as Mini Rodini and Tiny Cottons. This colourful children’s store is also located in the creative and versatile shopping area Zwaanshals in the north of Rotterdam. Set est prêt is run by Hanna and she has a great eye for selecting the most beautiful items, which means the store always looks fresh, modern and clean. Are you looking for something specific? Hanna is happy to help you and she also puts together fun (set) requests! Keep an eye on her Instagram account every Tuesday for this.
Secondhand children’s clothing in Kralingen
In the cosy Kralingen district, in the east of Rotterdam, you’ll find the charming concept store BUUF. At BUUF you can find a large collection of secondhand children’s clothing, but also secondhand toys, children’s books and new baby clothes from the more sustainable brand Petit Bateau. And the good news is: parents can go here not only for their little ones, but also for themselves! From local products made by people from the neighbourhood to jewellery and typical Rotterdam delicacies, there is something for everyone at the concept store BUUF.
