North German Wool, Reimagined: vauno at “Exklusiv & Schön” in Lüneburg
For one weekend, Lüneburg’s Clamartpark turns into an open-air showcase for craftsmanship, as around 70 makers and small culinary producers gather for the “Exklusiv & Schön” market. Among them, vauno presents fashion and accessories made from North German wool: a rare chance to see regional materials transformed into wearable, considered design.
Set beneath old trees on the park’s green lawns, the market brings together artisans trained in their craft who make a living from what they create by hand. Alongside vauno’s wool pieces, visitors will find handcrafted and made-to-measure fashion, knitwear, hats, bags, jewellery, ceramics, wood and glass design, paper goods, soap, and small-batch culinary treats — all one-off or small-series pieces with a distinct character. Every maker is on-site to talk about their materials and process, making it easy to ask questions and get to know the people behind the work.
