Normally Cosh works as follows: you log in and put together a route planner to go sustainable shopping in a city of your choice. Since a lot of independent shopkeepers had to close their doors and it’s best for everyone to stay at home, you can’t go out in the city at the moment. Instead, creative thought is being given to an alternative form of selling.
A very easy and super safe way to support your favourite shop is to buy a gift voucher online for later use. Another option is online shopping, with or without a parcel delivery at home. Are you normally not an online shopper and are you afraid that an item of clothing will not fit? Then opt for shopping for jewellery, accessories or care products. Of course, you are also free to ask questions: who knows, your favourite shop might want to measure your clothes, so that you don’t make any wrong choices.
At cosh.eco you’ll find a list of different addresses that normally focus on the physical shopping experience, but offer online options in times of need. Also through the social media channels of stores you can stay in touch with the operators and find the best way to support them.
According to new American research, the coronavirus survives best on plastics and stainless steel (up to two to three days). On copper only four hours and on cardboard up to 24 hours. The presence of the virus does diminish considerably as time goes on. At the end of the tests, according to the researchers, there was very little left of the virus. It is important to know that this research has not yet received a peer review and would therefore normally not yet be shared publicly. Given the circumstances, the scientists chose to publish their findings anyway. The tests were done in a laboratory, in a room at room temperature and with normal humidity. During their journey to your home, parcels end up in different situations where the temperature and humidity is not stable. So it is difficult to estimate how long the virus will survive on the cardboard box, but scientists assume that the virus will barely or not survive the journey. Of course, this does not alter the fact that the package deliverer can still transmit the virus. Therefore, follow these advices: do not touch the parcel deliverer, stay at a safe distance, thank him/her with a wave and immediately wash your hands with soap after you have accepted the parcel. If you pick up the parcel at a post office, the same advice applies. Leave the parcel in your hall for another 24 hours, this way the virus is certainly gone when you open your parcel.
