“Das Heimatkleid”: A Solo Play on Everyday Radicalisation, at Bühne38
On Saturday, 3 October 2026, actress Sophie Weikert performs “Das Heimatkleid” by Kirsten Fuchs as part of Bühne38, the event series hosted by Pieke & Fein in Bad Honnef. The monologue examines how seemingly harmless right-wing slogans creep into everyday life, following protagonist Claire as she is pulled between arguments of tolerance, free speech, and far-right thinking — and experiences firsthand how quickly radicalisation can take hold within a society.
Directed by Robert Arnold, with stage design by Christina Wachendorff, the piece is carried by Sophie Weikert, a familiar face from German film and television (including ARD and ZDF). She was nominated for Best Actress in a Foreign Film at the Nice International Film Festival in 2015, received the Ansbach Theatre Prize in 2018, and was a permanent ensemble member at Theater Ansbach from 2015 to 2026, where she now works freelance.
Bühne38 takes place in the creative sewing workshop of Pieke & Fein, a Bad Honnef space known for textile art, upcycling, and cultural events. Tickets are available now.
