Handmade Jewellery from Recycled Gold and Silver
During the DFD Festival 2026, Düsseldorf goldsmith Katja Voscht opens the doors of her atelier, Kleine Verzierung, on the grounds of the historic Areal Böhler. In this industrial setting she crafts unique pieces entirely by hand, working with recycled gold and silver rather than newly mined metals. Visitors can watch the goldsmith at work, browse a rotating selection of finished pieces made on site, and see how a ring or pendant takes shape from start to finish.
Katja Voscht also specialises in bespoke commissions and in reworking older jewellery, giving heirlooms and pieces tied to personal memories a new life in a new design. Whether you are after a one-off gift, curious about the craft behind handmade jewellery, or thinking about transforming a piece you already own, this open atelier is a chance to meet the maker and talk through the possibilities.
