Repair, but Make It Creative
On Saturday 14 November, the Peek & Cloppenburg* Concept Store at Potsdamer Platz welcomes Angie Aguirre of the Berlin upcycling label Therapy for its next repair and upcycling workshop. Angie co-founded Therapy with her sister Poli in Berlin in 2012.
This workshop isn’t about making clothes look like new. It’s about giving them a completely new look. Bring one piece you’d like to repair, transform or customise, and explore together what’s possible: visible mending, creative alterations, embellishment, deconstruction and more.
No sewing experience? No problem. The hand-sewing and no-sew techniques are open to complete beginners. If you’d like to use a sewing machine, you’ll need some previous machine experience. Angie will support you with your project throughout.
Good to know: This is an experimental workshop, so not every piece can be finished on the day. Some transformations need more time or special equipment. The fun lies in working with what you already have.
The workshop is donation-based, and registration is required.
