Panel Talk: Fast Fashion adé? New perspectives for sustainable clothing consumption – with Dana Giesecke (FUTURZWEI) and Carina Bischof (Fashion Revolution Germany)
How can fashion become sustainable? Dana Giesecke and Carina Bischof discuss the social and ecological consequences of the fast fashion industry and show how companies, designers and consumers can take responsibility together. Topics such as the circular economy, second-hand, fair production conditions and new design strategies will take centre stage. An inspiring discussion about alternatives to conventional fashion consumption – and about how clothing can stay in the cycle for longer.
Carina Bischof is co-founder of Fashion Revolution Germany and has been advising on sustainable fashion, upcycling and circular textile strategies for over 15 years.
Dana Giesecke is a sociologist, director of the FUTURZWEI Foundation and lecturer in design. Both are committed to fair, resource-conserving future models in fashion and are part of the jury for the Recycling Design Award.
