Your Thursday Evening at the Sewing Machine
Fancy spending Thursday evening at a sewing machine? The Peek & Cloppenburg* Conscious Fashion Store in The Playce at Potsdamer Platz invites everyone who enjoys sewing, or wants to learn, to its Open Sewing Café. The café takes place in the store’s workshop and atelier area on the first floor.
Experienced sewists are on hand to help. Beginners can learn the basics, people with some experience can refresh what they know, and anyone with a project of their own can get it moving. Maybe there’s a jacket that needs mending, or a shirt you’d like to rework into something new. It’s also a good chance to swap ideas with others who share the hobby, over a free drink.
Machines and fabrics are ready for you. If you prefer, bring your own sewing machine, materials and clothes you’d like to upcycle. Participation is free.
