These Austrian beds are made of 100% hardwood. Thanks to the craftsmanship and traditional techniques, all wood parts click together perfectly and firmly. This way you get a unique solid wood bed, without the use of metal. The hardwood is also finished with non-toxic natural oils and glues. You can sleep peacefully because these beds do not contain any harmful substances that could affect your health.
The beds are available in different types of European wood and come in different colour finishes. But they all have one fact in common: the hardwood is always sourced from sustainably managed European forests. Also, the wood used by Ergodôme’s supplier for the manufacture of beds and slatted bed bases carries the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certificate. All wood comes from Slovenia or France and never from South American or Asian endangered rainforests. Thanks to their excellent quality, the hard wooden beds last a very long time.
Ethical
The FSC certificate guarantees sustainable forest management in France and Slovenia, but also fair remuneration for the loggers and protection of the surrounding biodiversity. Greensleep succeeds in felling trees without leaving a negative impact on the surrounding nature. The beds are further produced and finished by hand in Austria. The European regulations on labour guarantee us that the beds are made in good working conditions, with a fair salary.
Circular Economy
Greensleep by Ergodome beds last a long time thanks to their smart design and high-quality wood.
