The Bel­gi­an com­pa­ny Greens­leep deve­lo­ps cus­tom-made ergo­no­mic mat­tres­ses, hand-made from 100% eco­lo­gi­cal mate­ri­als. A good mat­tress and a good bed are essen­ti­al for good sleep qua­li­ty. The­r­e­fo­re Ergo­dô­me also offers beds and mat­tres­ses that are 100% natu­ral, sus­tainable, recy­clable or biodegradable. 

Materials

The­se Aus­tri­an beds are made of 100% hard­wood. Thanks to the craft­sman­ship and tra­di­tio­nal tech­ni­ques, all wood parts click tog­e­ther per­fect­ly and firm­ly. This way you get a uni­que solid wood bed, wit­hout the use of metal. The hard­wood is also finis­hed with non-toxic natu­ral oils and glues. You can sleep peaceful­ly becau­se the­se beds do not con­tain any harmful sub­s­tances that could affect your health.

The beds are available in dif­fe­rent types of Euro­pean wood and come in dif­fe­rent colour finis­hes. But they all have one fact in com­mon: the hard­wood is always sourced from sus­tain­ab­ly mana­ged Euro­pean forests. Also, the wood used by Ergo­dô­me’s sup­pli­er for the manu­fac­tu­re of beds and slat­ted bed bases car­ri­es the Forest Ste­ward­ship Coun­cil (FSC) cer­ti­fi­ca­te. All wood comes from Slove­nia or France and never from South Ame­ri­can or Asi­an end­an­ge­red rain­fo­rests. Thanks to their excel­lent qua­li­ty, the hard woo­den beds last a very long time.

Ethical

The FSC cer­ti­fi­ca­te gua­ran­tees sus­tainable forest manage­ment in France and Slove­nia, but also fair remu­ne­ra­ti­on for the log­gers and pro­tec­tion of the sur­roun­ding bio­di­ver­si­ty. Greens­leep suc­ceeds in felling trees wit­hout lea­ving a nega­ti­ve impact on the sur­roun­ding natu­re. The beds are fur­ther pro­du­ced and finis­hed by hand in Aus­tria. The Euro­pean regu­la­ti­ons on labour gua­ran­tee us that the beds are made in good working con­di­ti­ons, with a fair salary.

Circular Economy

Greens­leep by Ergo­do­me beds last a long time thanks to their smart design and high-qua­li­ty wood. They are envi­ron­men­tal­ly fri­end­ly and free of harmful sub­s­tances, so the impact on the sur­roun­ding envi­ron­ment is mini­mal. Becau­se the beds only con­tain natu­ral wood, they are easi­ly recy­clable and biode­gra­da­ble after years of use.
