The vintage shop is run by 2 sisters, Marlot & Imara, who curate all items with great care and love. The vintage store is located opposite the Anne Frank House and contributes to a cleaner and socially responsible world with their unique concept. The store mainly stocks cool, upcycled jeans from renowned brands such as Levi’s, Wrangler, Lee, Dickies, Carhartt, Tommy Jeans and Hilfiger Denim, where they collaborate with talented designers to upgrade these jeans in a unique way. Recently, the largest vintage store in Amsterdam opened its doors: Figo Vintage. Located in an old factory on the Asterweg in Amsterdam-Noord, this cool vintage store offers a huge collection of vintage jackets, jeans, shirts, accessories, shoes and much more in different price ranges. You’ll mainly find Italian brands here, but also American classics such as Diesel, Levi’s and Miss Sixty. The interior of the store is also completely vintage, so also by setting up this store they make a positive impact by using what is already there!

The ReShare Store in Amsterdam is run by the enthusiastic floor manager Carla, who has an enormous passion for giving pre-loved clothing a second life.

Breathe fresh air into your wardrobe in an easy and sustainable way with The Swapshop Amsterdam! At this clothing swap shop, in the centre of Amsterdam, you can bring in clothes and accessories you no longer wear and give them a second life. In exchange for your donation, you will receive Swaps (points), which you can use to pick out a ‘new’ second-hand piece of clothing!

This cute second-hand shop is a real household name in Amsterdam-Oost, and last spring it got a new name and owner after 15 years: Helly Second Hand! Head here for high-quality second-hand clothes – you’ll find something for everyone. Discover a fun mix of different styles, vintage, pre-loved, unworn and new items. In sizes extra small to plus size and for all genders!
Community support through (free) second-hand clothes
Free second-hand clothes? Yes, you read that right! The special thing about this second-hand shop, Weggeefwinkel New Life West, is that the first seven pieces of clothing are given to you for free. From the eighth piece onwards, you pay a donation of at least 1 euro per item. Those with more money can donate more, so those in poverty can come here and pick out ‘new’ second-hand clothes for free. The shop in Amsterdam-West was founded with a social mission, is run by volunteers and welcomes everyone.
Thrift store with second-hand clothes
Kringloop De Lokatie has 3 locations in Amsterdam: in Amsterdam-Oost, on Distelweg in Amsterdam-Noord and on Buikslotermeerplein in Amsterdam-Noord. These thrift shops sell second-hand clothes at good prices as well as second-hand furniture, books and accessories. All clothes are collected and sorted by De Lokatie itself. Shopping here extends clothes’ lifespan and saves CO2 emissions!
