Screen printing company for unique and more sustainable printing
Want to print clothes locally and more sustainably in Amsterdam? Then drop by at the screen print studio Twee Jongens in Amsterdam West. The screenprinting company is run by the creative Melle who loves to think along with you on unique and more sustainable print work. They distinguish themselves in sustainability from other screen printers by using water-based ink (as few chemicals and plastics as possible) and they screen print exclusively on more sustainable brands and vintage clothing.
Innovative made-to-measure clothing
At Atalyé they make innovative made-to-measure clothing through 3D body scanning. Both the scans and the making of the clothes are done in the atelier located in Amsterdam West. They don’t work with fixed-size series, but the 3D body scan ensures that the garment can be made exactly to your size. The scan only takes a few minutes and then you can choose from a number of designs that you can customise yourself. Local and innovative!
Locally made clothing from traditional Javanese batik
Do you love prints such as the beautiful traditional batik prints from Indonesia? Batik is an age-old Javanese technique for applying motifs to fabrics. The Amsterdam brand Guave brings this traditional beauty to life with a modern twist. All batik fabrics are made in Indonesia in a fair and traditional way, so that this authentic craft is preserved. The clothing is then made in their own atelier in Amsterdam, or other ateliers in the Netherlands. Curious about this design and production process? You can visit Guave’s studio in Amsterdam West by appointment.
Colourful, locally made unisex clothing
An explosion of colours and prints, that is the Amsterdam based brand Logocomo. Designer Romy makes a lot of use of bold, colourful prints and bright colours, and designs her collections so that they are gender-neutral and timeless. The materials mainly come from deadstock materials or existing clothing, which are recycled or upcycled into new garments. Logocomo also had a collaboration with the Kledingbank Rotterdam to give discarded clothing a longer life. Curious about the collection? You can visit the atelier where Romy makes her collections in Amsterdam West by appointment.

Looking for a creative place where you can (learn to) make your own clothes? Then De Steek in Amsterdam-West is the place for you! De Steek is a cozy sewing café and store founded by designer Natalie de Koning. Here you can attend sewing classes, workshops and courses, or you can get started on your own by renting a space and making use of all the machines and materials in the workshop. A real creative environment where you will be instantly inspired!
