Find out what the COSH! the team wrote in their letter to Santa here
Dear Santa,
Here at COSH! headquarters, we are patiently counting down the days till Christmas Eve. The cosy atmosphere, the lovely smell of cinnamon and the happy reunion of family and friends is what it is all about for us. Handing out gifts is, of course, associated with this, but what people do not immediately think about is how sustainable their gift is. That’s why we each drew up our own eco Christmas wishlist to make our unwrapping time a lot more environmentally friendly.
I would love to rent my clothes for the upcoming Christmas, so an early Christmas present this year would be lovely! A subscription at the clothing library Dressr. So I can rent Haruco Vert or Janue through it and look fabulous during the Christmas dinners.
I’m a real slow fashion shopper and always slow with shopping as well ;). So I’d like a stylish white outfit from Furore – a season-less brand for slow shoppers who often shop very late.
I still doubt whether I want to go more eclectic or minimalistic in my interior. But I would love a plaid and a pouf from Tales by Solid under the Christmas tree. To make the cosy home vibes complete, I love the comfortable slippers from Egos sold at Moose in the City.
This year, I would love a complete circular outfit underneath the Christmas tree. I’ve been in love with Freitag for a couple of years already; they have the perfect ‘everyday F13 TOP CAT shoulder bag’, which I can wear to the COSH! office, but I can also use it for day trips.
Combine it with a perfect pair of HNST jeans; The CYRIEL straight-fit rinse blue is my favourite. I can wear it casually, but also more chic.
And Christmas is not complete without boxers as a present, right? At Harvest Club in Leuven, you can buy A‑dam boxers. They are super comfortable and also have nice colours and prints. In December, the beanie season officially starts, and we might get colder in January and February, so this beanie from the brand TWOTHIRDS in Barcelona will make my Christmas complete!
I’m a big sports fan! So Santa makes me happy with activewear and accessories :). My goal for 2024 is to run a whole marathon. Hopefully, these Christmas presents will help me a bit. The best gifts underneath the Christmas tree are socks, but this year, I would love to receive different pairs of socks; they are almost as fashionable as Maison Margiela. I’d like to have the Injinji Run Lightweight Mini-Crew Coolmax Black from Iedereen Loopt, this store is like a candy store for me. But also good hiking shoes like the Vaude Skarvan Tech Mid STX Trekking Shoes are high on my list! Santa can buy them at the outdoor store Vaude in Ghent or Leuven.
Regarding practical Christmas presents, I will be happy with the Mühle Safety Razor from the Druantia store in Lier.
And to keep it a little casual with a sporty twist, I love the ON CLOUDSURFER 6, Santa. I will help you a little; you can shop them at Addict Store!
For Christmas, I love to ask for practical presents which I don’t like to buy myself. A green Christmas sports outfit from Fitplanet or pyjamas in my all-time favourite terracotta colour from the unisex brand Jampis in Barcelona; they help children in difficulty, so you are doing a double good job when buying at Jampis. They have committed to donate €2 for every Jampis they sell to the NGO Kings and Queens of Kibera so they can invest it in building beds and buying mattress sheets.
And what is a Christmas for a woman without a bag as a present? Indeed, nothing! :) So high on my wishlist is a Daniel Chong bag. One of my good intentions for 2024 is to buy and eat more vegan, so these Beflamboyant sneakers would fit my new lifestyle.
What every partner should know, especially Santa, is that diamonds are a girl’s best friend! So earrings from Xzota are high on my list.
When I’m visiting Antwerp, I always bring a visit to Circuit. Santa, you definitely should go there as well! Please bring me some Zogezeept soap and take some yourself as well. You might be smelly after the Christmas present run!
It might get colder around Christmas, so a perfect wool scarf from Wolvis makes the cold and cosy days complete.
I visited the Freitag store in Rotterdam several times and still have a massive crush on the LOU BAG. Let’s say I just waited for Christmas (and a boyfriend)… It perfectly fits my imperfectly vegan lifestyle, and the same goes for the Vegan VEGA-LIFE boots. I’m always on the hunt for vegan boots, which I can wear all year long.
Santa should know that I’m a vintage fanatic; for more than ten years, I only buy vintage and secondhand clothes. So you can’t make me happier with a gift card from two of my favourite stores ENSŌ Vintage and The Collection One. To make my Christmas and winter complete (and inspire others to care a bit more about our planet), I would wear this sweater all winter long; it’s from a truly inspiring brand: New Optimist. And I couldn’t agree more: WHO CARES DARES.
I’m super creative, and next to my work at COSH! I love to work with my hands, so a weaving workshop at De Steek in Amsterdam is really something for me! Such a fantastic present, something different than socks or a pair of boxers ;). And to be honest, I think we all get enough stuff for Christmas we do not want or use, so let’s stay in the workshops. Roua atelier is organising natural dye indigo workshops. I would love to learn how to dye my fabrics!
When I lived in Amsterdam, Indianaweg was my all-time favorite store to visit. They have a lot of wool Guatemalan jackets; they perfectly fit my style.
Santa, can I have one more present? Pleaseeeee. These preloved sneakers from WEAR are my favourite colour and size and only €29,95.
I’m a big fan of the cosy winter days. Couch chilling at home with a blanket, my favourite winter tea, warm Zokk’n from Supergoods and, of course, candles. The smell of sandalwood is perfect for those cosy days. HOST has a lot of candle choices, and it is nice to receive (or give) underneath the Christmas tree.
The colder winter days remind you to take care of your skin. Especially during these days, your skin gets sensitive and dry. Cîme day cream from Kiez is the perfect solution and a lovely gift! And, of course, jewellery is always a good idea; this necklace from Anna Rosa Moschouti has been on my radar for a couple of months already!
The colder, cosy days are perfect for investing in the most comfortable outfits, like… pyjamas! The must-have one is this set from Indikon – so adorable and essential for those binge-watching TV series sessions! I will live in it during the Holiday season.
And I would want everything from Design for Resilence, when aesthetics meets household linen. During the Holidays, I have more me-time and time to clean my house and learn how to do it more sustainably and aesthetically!
To make my Christmas outfit complete and stay in the Christmas colour vibes, oh yeah, Santa! This Red Stars bag perfectly fits the vibe with the patchwork Infinit denim skirt. I can wear it chic during Christmas but more casual afterwards.
I’m more of a practical Christmas present person; Santa will make me happy with warm wool winter socks in an outspoken colour like these grey Colorful Standard ones to buy in their flagship store in Antwerp. Or lovely smelling room sprays from Moose in the City!
And this Recto Verso sports bra underneath the Christmas tree will contribute to my new solution of becoming an even more sporty spice!
Bags are practical and functional gifts. They help me stay organised and carry essential items with ease, whether it’s my daily work supplies, groceries, or travel essentials. So a Tocs bag for Christmas is always a good idea!
I do not consider myself a dress person, so the perfect black dress does not belong in my closet, even though I love to wear black blouses. A black blouse pairs effortlessly with various bottoms, such as jeans, skirts, or slacks. It simplifies the process of putting together stylish outfits. So when I came across this wonderful blouse from the brand Circular Project, it was clear that it must be part of my wish list and perfect to combine with these yellow 3D-printed earrings from Seron.
Sweater weather officially started! And during winter times, it’s my favourite item to wear. This beauty from the Supergoods store will be a pleasant present underneath the Christmas tree. Oh, and Santa, I love jumpsuits also, by the way! Easy going: just one item and a pair of shoes, and your outfit is complete! This By-Bar jumpsuit from Boutique Ruth is an excellent addition to my closet.
Next to clothes, I love presents that are soft to my skin and hair, so you can make me super happy with the Rainpharma shampoo from Moss and a cleanser from The Soul Store.
My wishlist for Christmas this year is a more sustainable and utterly outspoken outfit. To start with, this Lanzarote skirt or pretty much anything I adore from Borrenberghs. I love to style my outfits a bit more funky with cool accessories like glasses from Bidules and handcrafted earrings from Zoë Detrez. And to make it complete, I’d love to have a Marypup cape. Is this something you can shop Santa?
My mind thinks about my Christmas wish list, but my heart goes to what’s on my summer’s one. So, for this year, I decided to merge them and hope Santa will get me what I need the most out of this list.
Since I’m always travelling around Prague, Bruges and – could happen – Germany, this giant backpack from Nordlicht should help with my “pack light when travelling” resolution.
I would love to come prepared for summer’s holidays as well, with the Talismanic Tiger Shirt from Remesalt and this stunning one-piece swimsuit from Anekdot, so please wrap them under the Christmas tree!
This year has been a rollercoaster journey for me. So I would love to get this super cosy and ethically made loungewear set from Kalani – to get some rest during the holidays. And maybe a super colourful blanket from Tales by Solid to wrap me in while cuddling my cat on the couch. It’s the perfect winter combination!
But if Santa also considers bringing under the tree a Dressr subscription and the wine bag from Lies Mertens, he’d make all my fashion wishes come true!
Last one, I swear, but since a good outfit can’t go without accessories, can I add Nico Taeymans rings to my wishlist? I mean, browse the website, and you’ll get why they’re a must-have!
