The brand is inspired by people and nature and this is reflected in both the designs and the management. The designs of Achilles and the Tortoise are gender neutral and available in sizes XS to XXL.
Achilles and the Tortoise works with different collections, including the ‘essentials’ for which they work with recycled and organic materials and natural dyes. The collection is ethically produced in Portugal, in a factory they have good contact with for several years already.
Their other collection, ‘ALTER’, is a unique upcycle collection made from upcycled materials such as old parachutes, military blankets, sleeping bags or vintage clothing. All upcycled clothing is made locally in Amsterdam, in collaboration with students and local studios, among others.
