From First Sketch to Last Stitch
Every second Thursday, tessastetter opens up the Naturfärbe Atelier in Flensburg for Craft & Schnack, a relaxed creative get-together where the only rule is to bring something you’re working on. Knitting needles, a sketchbook, a pile of socks that need darning: it all belongs here.
The idea is simple. People gather around one big table to draw, knit, stitch and, true to the northern German “Schnack”, have a good natter while they’re at it. There’s no programme to follow and no skill level to reach. Whether someone is casting on their first row or finishing a long-running project, the cosy round makes space for all of it.
Best of all, no registration is needed. You just show up with whatever makes you happy and settle in. And when the weather plays along, the whole table moves outside into the atelier’s garden for an open-air edition.
It’s a gentle, welcoming way to spend an evening making things in good company. The next round takes place on 30 July.
