Tessa Stetter is a fashion designer, natural dyer, and workshop leader based in Flensburg. After studying in Hanover and completing an inspiring internship with an NGO in Mexico, she dedicated herself entirely to the art of natural dyeing. Since 2021, she has been offering creative workshops for children, adults, and private groups – in German, English, or Spanish.
Whether at festivals, universities, museums, or in your own home: Tessa’s workshops are mobile and flexible. Her dyeing events for bachelorette parties or intensive courses for those who want to dive deeper are especially popular. Participants create hand-dyed t‑shirts or scarves, always using natural, upcycled materials.
Tessa sources her fabrics from flea markets, secondhand shops, and the Textilhafen Berlin. She dyes using high-quality natural materials. The colours are fixed with a stain to achieve durability and lightfastness. The stain consists of aluminium salts, among other things, and is harmless to people and the environment.
Tessa is also developing her own more sustainable collection, which combines plant-based dyeing and unique patterns to create true statement pieces. Stains on beloved items of clothing can also be dyed over. Memories can be immortalised on your fabric, for example, in the form of a bridal bouquet.
