This event at the Schiller Library in Berlin on Black Friday sends a conscious message against excessive consumption. With the motto ‘Reclaim Responsibility!’, visitors are invited to discover sustainable alternatives to fast fashion through a clothes swap, photo shoot, showcase and panel discussion.
The afternoon begins with a clothes swap and photo shoot from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., where visitors can swap well-preserved clothing and showcase rescued pieces in front of the camera.
From 4 p.m. to 5 p.m., the Circular Showcase will demonstrate how circular consumption models work in everyday life, offering hands-on opportunities to try things out and wear them.
The subsequent panel discussion, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:15 p.m., will see experts discuss the lack of responsibility in the fashion industry. The focus will be on the question:
‘What does extended producer responsibility (EPR) mean?’
The discussion will highlight why responsibility must not end at the till.
After the talk, all participants are invited to a get-together.
Those taking part include Style Cloud, Make-a-Thek, VNF (Venture & Nature Fund), Circular Berlin, Natascha von Hirschhausen, Barbara Metz, and other key figures from the sustainable fashion and circular movement.
