Designer Ilfa Siebenhaar is a dye specialist. She dyes bacteria from nature but also with plant waste streams, including flowers and onion peels. With these, she mostly creates unique collections on commission for companies like Puma and together with other fashion brands like shoe brand SKUA.
But did you know that you can also quite easily get started with this dyeing technique yourself? Ilfa would love to introduce you to dyeing with vegetable residues!
In this workshop, you will dye a shirt with vegetable rest streams from good food bar SLA, located on Haarlemmerdijk – a few metres from the pop-up store.
All you need is a white or light-coloured shirt that you want to breathe new life into and wear again more often.
