The Wear For Life campaign is a collaboration between the City of Amsterdam, OBA and COSH!. In partnership with various initiatives and partners, we inspire fashion lovers to be more mindful about their clothing.
MISSION
Wear For Life helps Amsterdammers get more value from their clothes (and wardrobes): by shopping more mindfully, wearing clothes for longer, repairing them, swapping them or giving items that are no longer worn a second life locally. This keeps usable clothing away from landfill and out of the textile recycling bins.
VISION
An Amsterdam where clothes are made to last — where mending is just as natural as buying, where swapping and second-hand shopping are the norm in every neighbourhood, and where nobody has to wonder where to dispose of their old coat. COSH!, the City of Amsterdam and the OBA are collaborating to achieve 50% circularity within the clothing supply chain by 2030, using the full 9R ladder: from Rethink and Reduce to Reuse, Repair, Refurbish, Remanufacture, Repurpose and Recycle.
