In Der Hintergarten in Amsterdam, the first edition of Knits and Now will take place. This is the only crafts and music event in the Netherlands, organized by Knits and Notes in collaboration with Naaicafé De Steek.
Knits and Now will be the largest live crafts and music event that Knits and Notes has organized so far – and this time it is in collaboration with Naaicafé De Steek. There are creative activities you can participate in, such as weaving, natural dyeing, repairing, and more. A total of at least 500 visitors are expected.
Below you will find more information about the festival and the pre-event we are organizing on June 3rd. Knits and Notes became known from previous events at Paradiso and De School where they managed to connect craft and music. Early bird tickets and regular tickets are available through Four Venues.

Pre-event
During the pre-event on June 3rd from 16:00 at De Steek, you will get to know Knits and Notes and experience why crafting together with music is so connecting. Additionally, you will meet the organizers, some acts, and designers. There will, of course, be music, snacks, and drinks. You will go home with your own craft kit that you can also bring to the festival on June 23rd.
If you find the Knits and Notes festival interesting and would like to attend, we would love to invite you to:
The Knits and Now pre-event on June 3rd from 16:00 at De Steek, Van der Hoopstraat 70H in Amsterdam, and the Knits and Now festival on June 23rd at Der Hintergarten in Amsterdam. On June 23rd, we will give a tour of the festival grounds at 12:30 where you can discover the creative acts and meet the makers. There will also be a delicious lunch. The festival doors will open at 14:00.
We would, of course, be thrilled if you would like to share your own experiences about the pre-event and/or the festival to inspire more people about what crafting can do for you. How you choose to do that is entirely up to you.
