Textile artist Camila Moreno developed this lovely course for beginners who want to learn the basics of weaving on a Rigid Heddle Loom (table loom). In this course you learn the planning of your work, preparing and working on the loom and in the end, creating your own scarf as a result!
Students will learn:
- How to plan a project and make small samples.
- How to dress the loom (put the warp on and thread the loom)
- How to start a scarf with the hem stitching (is the same for the finishing)
- How to weave with cotton yarn, techniques to change colours, manage the tension, edges, etc
Materials and Tools are included
- Each student will have 4 cotton yarn in different colours, 1 needle for wool and one cotton bag to storage their personal materials.
- You will use an Ashford Heddle Loom 40 cm wide with a 30/10 reed.
- All students will have the option to buy the looms if they want at the end of the class.
