On Saturday 19 October, you can come and swap your clothes and accessories, which you are already fed up with but are still in tiptop condition, for other gems at De Steek. Besides being super fun and satisfying your shopping urge, you will also contribute to a cleaner environment by doing so. And it’s nice for your wallet too!
On the occasion of Zero Waste week, a photobooth will be present and you can have your picture taken in your new creation straight away. With a nice photo of your new second-hand outfit, you will immediately give your own social network a good idea!
Please note the following rules before you come:
1. Bring nice pieces, so no washed-up H&Ms. What is allowed: that great item with a small stain or hole, after all, have an Upcycle café available! (You do get less points for a damaged piece and evaluate if it’s still worth it) We are strict at the door, though! (so do bring pieces that are still worthwhile for others, also in terms of style/type of fabric)
2. We evaluate your pieces at the door. The items get 1, 2 or 3 points and you get a card with the number of points you are allowed to swap for, so we can keep good track of who brings what. (For example, a jacket is 3 points and a T‑shirt 1).
3. Bring a maximum of 8 garments to the swap!
Around 50 people can come along.
