Join a relaxed, hands-on tote bag block printing workshop where you design and create a bag that is entirely your own. You will use striking patterns with carved wooden blocks, rollers, and colors while learning a timeless Indian textile printing technique.
The block printing workshop offers a glimpse into the world of Indian hand block printing using hand-carved wooden blocks, a technique still practiced in many parts of India to create beautiful prints on fabrics. In this workshop, creatives are introduced to the sustainable craft of hand block printing, its origins, its story, and its significance for sustainability.
Your ticket includes:
- Pre-washed canvas tote bags (1 per participant)
- Pre-cut wooden blocks
- Block printing ink (various colors)
- Rollers
- Ink trays
