Cherry Pao Pao sources its materials from Grossite en Perles, and often second-hand on Vinted or flea markets, with a recent collaboration with Kringloop Antwerpen.
Some charms are handmade with denim scraps.
Packaging
The brand does not disclose what packaging materials are used, but every item comes in a custom made Cherry PaoPao box.
They do mention it’s best to store products in the original packaging.
Water usage & chemicals
The brand doesn’t discuss any water or chemical use.
Cherry PaoPao does note that wearers can’t wear the products in anything to do with water
The brand issues a notice that the natural pH value of the skin can cause discolouration of certain products. This can be influenced by factors such as alcohol consumption, medication use, and perspiration.
Circular product design
The brands charms are upcycled. They also use upcycled pearls and fabric in their products.
NOTE: Jewellery is generally easy to recycle and lasts a long time.

The brand offers certain repairs. If charms break or fall off, they will replace it. Same for a loose wire.

The supply chain of Cherry PaoPao is simple and short.
Transportation
Customers can pick up orders in a store in Brussels, or shop directly in their store in Antwerp. Deliveries are send via Bpost, or if a customer lives nearby the brand will make a personal delivery.

Slow fashion processes
Cherry PaoPao creates collections dedicated to memories. Paola’s first collection was created in honour of her sister, who is 10 years older than her and is like a mother to her. Her second collection was centred around her teen years, not necessarily her personal experiences, but themes like your first heart break, being a drama queen and high school musical. Paola’s third collection was centred around her husband, who was born on the same day and year as her.
Cherry PaoPao collaborated with OHMYGEMS for their Barbie Puppy Bag, exclusively available in pre-order.
Some products are made to order, where customers send in their measurements.
