WORKING CONDITIONS & LIVING WAGES

To ensure fair production practices, Boldwill collaborates with GOTS and SMETA-certified factories in Portugal and Greece. The brand maintains close relationships with these factories and visits them regularly to oversee working conditions.

However, as a small business, Boldwill acknowledges that it is not yet able to visit every supplier in its supply chain. The brand states that improving transparency and conducting more direct visits is a future goal.

MATERIALS

Boldwill designs its activewear using only plant-based and high-performing materials:

• Hemp
• Tencel™ Lyocell (from FSC-certified European forests)
• Tencel™ Modal
• Organic Cotton (GOTS-certified)

By avoiding synthetic fibres, Boldwill aims to reduce the shedding of microplastics and the reliance on fossil-fuel-based textiles.

PACKAGING 

Boldwill has not disclosed details about its packaging materials.

WATER USAGE & CHEMICALS 

Natural materials like hemp and Tencel™ require less intensive washing compared to synthetic sportswear. Additionally, the organic cotton used in their collections is GOTS-certified, ensuring that harmful chemicals are avoided during cultivation and production.

CIRCULAR PRODUCT DESIGN 

Boldwill strives to design products that last, reducing the need for frequent replacements. To minimise textile waste, the brand:

• Uses monomaterials where possible, making garments easier to recycle.
• Designs some items from a single fabric to increase material efficiency.

CIRCULAR BUSINESS MODELS

When Boldwill items wear out from intense activity, customers can return them for free and receive a 20% discount on their next purchase. Once a minimum volume is reached, these garments are recycled into new activewear.

This initiative encourages responsible disposal and contributes to a circular economy.

TRANSPORTATION 

To lower its carbon footprint, Boldwill relies on truck transport for shipping within its supply chain. The company collaborates with third-party organisations to calculate and offset emissions related to shipping.

All of Boldwill’s fabrics are plant-based, which means that their sportswear is completely vegan.

Boldwill creates functional, high-quality sportswear that provides freedom of movement while maintaining a commitment to environmental responsibility.

The brand doesn’t work with seasonal collections avoiding overproduction.

They design products with a timeless touch, so that people can wear them for years and years to come. Moreover, they only use high-quality materials and fabrics, so that the products last a long time.
