Since the brand has opted for GOTS-certified cotton for its organic cotton, we can already be sure that the employees on the plantations are paid a fair wage and work in good conditions.

On the A- dam website, it mentions who manufactures its products, with full transparency: 

More than half of their product categories are produced in the Kalito Group factory, as they are a SA8000 (Ethically Correct Company) and GOTS certified company, which are some of their main conditions to produce our products.

Also, when they started manufacturing socks in 2016, they chose Narkonteks factory because they produce garments with responsible fabrics such as ECONYL yarn and GOTS certified organic cotton, the two main components of their socks.

Finally, for their swimwear, they work with Waste2Wear, known for making innovative products from recycled plastics.

A‑dam not only manufactures underwear, but also briefs and T‑shirts with GOTS organic cotton. The brand also manufactures socks with a blend of GOTS organic cotton with ECONYL®. The latter is made from sea fishing nets or other nylon waste.

A‑dam swimwear is made from 100% recycled polyester from Waste2Wear. This Dutch organisation collects PET bottles from the ocean and transforms them into yarn. With A‑dam you are saving the ocean.

Some A‑dam garments are made using monomaterials, such as 100% organic cotton or 100% recycled polyester, which makes them easy to recycle. However, other garments, such as underwear, incorporate a small percentage of elastane for added stretch. This combination of materials makes it difficult to recycle later due to the mix of components.

A‑dam’s products are conceived and designed in Amsterdam and produced in China or Turkey under favourable conditions.

Adam does not use animal derived materials in his product line. It uses materials such as organic cotton and polyester to create its products.

Durability is crucial for all their garments. That’s why they are always working on how to improve every little detail, such as choosing only organic or recycled materials, using yarn-dyed fabrics or applying the flattest stitches to all underwear.
