HEDONE’s ambition is to fill all positions within the company with at-risk youth in the next five years. For this, the brand will organise workshops, mentoring and other community activities to engage and train the adolescents. Through the programme, the brand aims to train the young people so that they can build their own businesses in the future.
HEDONE also has an broader educational mission in mind. Through their actions, collection and workshops, the brand also wants to educate people about the consequences of recreational drug use.
In addition to their own social commitment, HEDONE also works with ethical suppliers. The manufacturers are members of the Fair Wear Foundation (FWF). This is an independent organisation that monitors working and social conditions at producers. Thanks to the leader status those HEDONE suppliers have, you can be sure that the clothes are made in safe and ethical conditions, and that the workers receive fair wages.
The clothes are printed in a small production workshop in the Netherlands. The playful and colourful designs are hand-printed onto the clothes there. HEDONE works closely with the atelier to ensure that high quality and social standards are met.
