Discover COSH! brands rooted in Latin American heritage, craftsmanship, and responsible production.
When we think of Latin America, we often picture a vibrant, colorful region rich in culture and artistic expression. This is reflected in the textile traditions that many countries have preserved and refined over hundreds of years.
Countries such as Peru have an especially profound textile heritage. In the Andean world, weaving was not only decorative; patterns, colors, and motifs functioned as a visual language, communicating identity, community, status, and cosmology.
In Latin America we can find special fibres like alpaca, rooted in the Andean highlands of Peru and neighboring regions and prized for its softness, warmth, durability, and hypoallergenic qualities. Alpaca is widely regarded as one of the more sustainable natural fibres: alpacas have a low environmental impact, gentle grazing habits that do not damage root systems, and produce high-quality fleece with relatively low water requirements compared to many other textile fibres.
Across Latin America, weaving remains deeply connected to community knowledge and intergenerational craftsmanship. Artisans in countries such as Colombia and Peru continue to combine ancestral techniques with contemporary design, ensuring that tradition evolves while cultural heritage is respected.
Here are some COSHCosh! Members with Latin American roots or connections that work closely with artisans from countries like, Colombia and Peru. Creating relationships through art with respect and appreciation.

De Colores
De Colores is a family label that brings together timeless design and deep ties to Latin American craft through its production in Peru. The brand’s signature high-quality knitted scarves, hats and accessories are made from baby alpaca wool, one of the softest natural fibers sourced from small-scale alpaca farmers in the Andes and produced in close cooperation with PERU Fairtrade-certified partners, including Waka‑s, Textil Viso and RUNAKAY, ensuring fair wages and safe working conditions for local artisans. Production combines traditional hand-knitting techniques with modern craftsmanship, preserving cultural know-how while supporting more than 60 families and the preservation of Peruvian textile heritage.
