In her boutique-atelier on Van Arteveldestraat, Valérie Berckmans has been designing elegant ready-to-wear clothing since 2006 for women who love subtle lines, airy fits and carefully chosen details. Each garment exudes calm and simplicity, without compromising on character.
The collections are made entirely in Belgium and France, fair trade materials and deadstock that are given a new lease of life in unique designs. The leftovers from her women’s collections do not end up in the bin, but are incorporated into circular creations such as children’s clothing, underwear and reusable cotton pads.
In the shop, you will also discover work by other Belgian designers who, like Valérie, opt for slowness, quality and an honest story. Think of knitwear by Glico and Géraldine Bertrand, shoes by King Comf and handmade leather accessories by O’Leary.
