Shop circulair design at Statie Twee. Jamilla Boujouh and Laura Van Den Noortgate started their handbag brand together two years ago. What’s special about it? The handbags are handmade in Belgium from the remains of leather, fabric and wood which they obtained from a company’s bankruptcy or from inheritances. The production of new materials is therefore not necessary.
Each handbag is made in the studio at the back of the shop, which is located in the Statiestraat in Antwerp. Very local. In this way, Station Two reduces the amount of waste and there is no question of unnecessary transport. A complete production process in Belgium? It’s perfectly possible and Statie Twee proves it. Awesome isn’t it?
In their shop you will also find other local circular and handmade brands that work according to the same sustainable principles as Statie Twee. You’ll find original artisanal jewellery from the Belgian brands Asibyisa and La petite curieuse, ceramics by Laura Leynen, circular shirts and dresses by Veerle Wils and knitwear by Scarves & stuff by Solange.
Dreaming of that unique handmade garment or accessory? Then definitely pay a visit to Statie Twee and be seduced by the beauty of handmade products.
