Bloemhof Festival 2024
The third edition of the Bloemhof Festival!

Location: Putseplein, behind De Sleutel primary school
On Saturday, June 8, 2024, we will celebrate the Bloemhof Festival for the third time! Everyone, young and old, is welcome from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Putseplein, behind De Sleutel primary school. The Bloemhof Festival is organized by and for the neighborhood, featuring numerous free activities. Come to the Bloemhof Festival and celebrate the wonderful things in our community together! Stamp Card for Children
Children will receive a Bloemhof Festival stamp card beforehand through their school. They get a stamp for participating in activities at the festival. With a full stamp card, they can get a free treat during the festival.
What’s on?
Children’s Village
In various tents and stalls, you can make numerous crafts in collaboration with Bloemhof schools, SOL, residents, and Licht op Zuid. Feijenoord Library will be reading stories and there will be books to browse. There are two bouncy castles, face painting, henna tattoos, and a puppet show. RIO010 is hosting a football challenge, just like last year.
Food & Drink
Residents of Bloemhof proudly showcase their culinary skills! Annie sells her cakes and makes cupcakes with children, and Karima sells Moroccan cookies and tea. BLEND is also present with ice cream (coffee) and drinks, along with treats from Playground de Klimroos. Residents Seema and Zahida sell kebabs, pakora, sandwiches, and drinks. Volunteers from the Birlik mosque offer fried snacks, and typical Pakistani food is available at the Masjid Ghausia stall.
Culture & Campus
This year, there is a collaboration with Culture & Campus at the Bloemhof Festival. Expect activities in the field of fashion. Various clothing and craft groups from Bloemhof will be behind sewing machines to repair or alter your clothes in the ‘Clothing Upcycling’ activity. Together with children from various primary schools, there will be a real fashion show! Besides drinks and ice cream, BLEND also organizes a clothing swap. Animal and nature lovers can discover coral at Bloemhoffer Burhan’s OceanLab or learn more about songbirds from Birds and Friendship. And there’s much more! There are also workshops: taekwondo, painting, and circus!
Meet Each Other at the Networking Square
At the Bloemhof Festival, you can easily meet people who work in the neighborhood from various organizations such as the neighborhood council, Woonstad, Hef Wonen, SOL, the police, City Management, Like je Wijk, Stichting Je Goed Recht, and more!
Music and More!
Throughout the festival, a DJ will provide lively music. Additionally, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, there will be various performances by the brass band, youth from Studio Oleander, Kasba (world music), and various dance performances.
