Craft your own leather bag in a single evening
Lederworkshop, a spin-off of the Ghent handbag label AESAERT, invites makers to build a leather bag from scratch during a hands-on evening workshop. Under step-by-step guidance, each participant completes the DIY kit of their choice, from the RIO belt bag to the ROCCO handbag, a roomy bucket bag, a children’s school satchel or the Merel handbag, in a colour they pick themselves.
Working in a small, relaxed group of fellow leather lovers, participants draw out the pattern, cut the vegetable-tanned leather, fold and assemble every part by hand. There is plenty of room to swap tips and experiences along the way. By the end of the evening everyone goes home with a finished, one-of-a-kind piece they made entirely themselves, ready to be used for years to come.
No prior experience is needed, making this an ideal introduction to leatherwork for beginners as well as a satisfying evening for anyone who loves working with their hands.
