Open Studio Days: A Look Behind the Scenes at Pieke & Fein
Pieke & Fein opens its workshop doors for two days, inviting visitors to see costume-making in action ahead of the November premiere of “Die Bremer Stadtmusikanten” at Scharoun Theater Wolfsburg — the costumes will be on display for a close-up look. Alongside the theatre pieces, the studio shows off its own bags, made from repurposed tarpaulins and advertising banners, giving discarded materials a second, functional life.
New to this edition: quilts by Heike Wieprig, made from upcycled fabrics, on display for the first time at Pieke & Fein. It’s a chance to see a range of textile craft side by side, from stage costumes to everyday accessories, and to talk to the makers about how each piece comes together.
Whether you’re curious about costume design, interested in upcycled materials, or simply want to see a working sewing studio in action, the AtelierTage offer an easy, low-key way to look behind the scenes in Bad Honnef.
