This intermediate workshop builds on existing knitting-machine experience, focusing on pattern knitting techniques. Participants are introduced to punch card knitting and the lace carriage, both used on the single bed, and learn the function of every tool and setting needed for these techniques, along with tuck stitches, two-colour patterns and lace patterns.
Everyone creates a set of sample swatches to take home at the end, choosing yarns in various colours and materials, included in the price. Basic experience with single-bed knitting on a Brother knitting machine is required to join.
The workshop is scheduled by request; interested participants can email to book an afternoon slot.
