Repair Meetup at HALL4CRCLRTY: Preserving Clothing Together!
At HALL4CRCLRTY, everyone is welcome to bring their damaged textiles and join a cozy gathering to explore ways to extend the life of their clothing.
Whether it’s a sweater with a hole in the elbow, jeans worn out at the knee, or even holey socks — together, participants will find creative solutions to repair garments thoughtfully.
A variety of patching and repair materials are provided. However, if specific colors of yarn, thread, zippers, or other items are needed, participants are encouraged to bring their own. Especially for first-timers, bringing 2 – 3 different items offers more opportunities to play with available materials and enhance sewing skills.
Important: This is not a traditional repair service! Instead, the focus is on exchange, shared learning, and creative inspiration.
Tea and light snacks are available to keep everyone energized. Guests are welcome to bring a small treat that suits their tastes — repairing often requires focus, and a little boost can go a long way..
