Are you a true gamer and do you dream of creating your own game? Then our Game Camp is the perfect place to bring your ideas to life. Put on your headset and get your creative juices flowing, because at this Game Camp, you’re in control.
What will you be doing?
During this camp, we’ll get behind the screen together to build your dream game. First, we’ll come up with a rock-solid concept: will it be a thrilling shooter, an imaginative RPG or a lightning-fast platformer? Together with our game experts, you’ll work out the story, the challenges and the style in full detail. What will be your unique twist?
Let’s build! Once your game plan is finalised, we’ll start development. We’ll be using Scratch for this. No prior experience? No worries, we’ll explain how it works. Do you already have some experience? We’ll guide you step by step, tailored to your level.
By the end of the week, your game will be ready to shine! During a big showcase, you can show off your creation to friends, family and other gamers. Who knows, you might just inspire the next generation of game developers!
Practical information
This camp does not include overnight accommodation and takes place at the De Campagne estate, from Monday 6 to Friday 10 April. The address is Gijzelstraat 12, 9031 Ghent.
The cost for this camp is 295 euros.
Who is it for?
For budding video game developers aged 8 to 12.
Not every young person has the luxury of going to camp
And that is precisely why we organise summer camps for everyone, including young people who are often left out. In collaboration with the Flemish government, we offer free camps for young people living in socio-economically vulnerable circumstances. Please recommend us, pass on our contact details, or get in touch with us yourself so that we can reach the children and young people who will benefit most from this.
Important: registrations this year are handled via Heyo. We are centralising our communication and administrative processing through them.
