Give Your Clothes a Second Life
Broken zips, moth holes or a favourite jacket that no longer fits? None of it belongs in the bin. At this hands-on workshop in Berlin’s NochMall, upcycling designer Sigrid Münzberg (Sekundär-Schick) helps you bring tired garments back to life. Bring the piece that’s been sitting unworn at the back of your wardrobe, and together you’ll find exactly the right fix. A repair, an alteration or a creative redesign that turns it into something you’ll actually want to wear again.
Whether you’re a confident sewer or have never touched a machine, you’re in the right place. Sigrid guides every participant individually, so beginners and old hands alike leave with a finished piece and new skills to take home. Along the way, you’ll pick up practical techniques for extending the life of your clothes and keeping wearable textiles out of the waste stream.
It’s a relaxed, sociable afternoon in Berlin’s first second-hand department store and a small, concrete step towards buying less and keeping more.
