Choose the Blanket That Becomes Your Winter Coat
What if you could pick the very blanket that will keep you warm all winter? On 5 and 6 November, Arnhem label Hul le Kes opens the doors of its studio for two days of shopping and blanket hunting. After a successful first edition last year, the Pick Your Own Blanket Event is back.
Visitors can browse a selection of vintage wool blankets and choose the colours and patterns that speak to them. The atelier in Arnhem then turns the chosen blanket into a Cremer Jacket, Monet Jacket or Guggenheim Coat. Do you have a blanket at home with a special memory attached? Bring it along, and the team will explore what it could become.
There is more to see than blankets. Dresses, expressive shirts, comfortable trousers and the We Are de Sjaak T‑shirts are all there to try on. It is also a chance to meet the makers behind the garments and see how the studio works.
