As part of the Wear for Life campaign, Muna is organising a sustainable, local and creative fashion show on 20 September from 14:00 to 16:00. The outfits featured in the fashion show have been created by local designers using a mix of old and new fabrics from our charity shop. A collection that encourages reuse: Muna Renewed.
This fashion show bridges the gap between the popular DIY community on platforms such as TikTok and high-end fashion. The aim of the fashion show is to demonstrate that upcycling doesn’t have to be difficult and that you can create surprisingly beautiful, unique and high-quality outfits from old clothes. We hope to inspire and encourage people to buy more second-hand items and to show them the possibilities that exist when upcycling garments. A garment you no longer wear doesn’t have to be thrown away; it can be transformed into a unique, completely new garment that you can be proud of. So come along to Muna Renewed, the vintage and upcycled fashion show, and be inspired by the possibilities of vintage and upcycling!
