Why buy new clothes when everything you need is already out there?
At the THRIFT FLIP FESTIVAL, hosted by Amsterdam’s ReShare Store, the spotlight is on upcycling second-hand textiles. Discover the endless possibilities of transforming pre-loved clothing into something new.
The festival kicks off with the launch of the ReShare Store’s exclusive Atelier Collection, featuring unique pieces made from unsellable donated clothing. These garments have been given a second life, crafted by five talented volunteers from the store. Join ReShare Store on Wednesday, October 9, at 11 a.m. for the official unveiling of the collection, presented by its creators.
Throughout the four-day event, the ReShare Store will also showcase independent designers who each bring their own flair to upcycling. They’ll display their creations in a pop-up shop at the front of the store, giving visitors a chance to see how second-hand textiles can be transformed into something entirely new.
Want to get creative yourself? Each day, there will be different beginner-friendly workshops on upcycling for visitors to participate in. Plus, there’s plenty more to explore throughout the festival. Save the dates and keep an eye on Instagram for updates and the full program!
