Not a finished collection under perfect catwalk lighting, but
sketches on the wall, denim on the table and designers in the midst of the creative process. On 9
October, during Dutch Sustainable Fashion Week, ReShare and Rambler Studios will open the
studio to showcase their new upcycled denim collection, RAFEL. Visitors will see how ‘discarded’
denim is transformed into new designs by young talents.
RAFEL deliberately draws attention to a part of fashion that usually remains behind
closed doors: the journey from material to designer and from initial idea to
garment. Whilst the Rambler designers work on their denim pieces, visitors will follow
the various stages of the design process: from the initial ideas and sketches to
experimentation and sewing. Two models will bring some of the designs to life during a Raw Catwalk through the studio.
