Cimorné is Blowing Out 10 Candles!
Cimorné, the creative hub and meeting place in the heart of Aalst, is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a festive weekend full of workshops, community spirit, and circular creativity. De Fietserij, part of Kringwinkel Aalst is proud to be part of it.
The celebration kicks off on Friday 5 June at 17:00 with a relaxed afterwork evening featuring pizza and drinks. Whether you are a long-time friend of Cimorné or simply curious, everyone is welcome to join, reminisce, or meet the community for the first time.
On Saturday 6 June, Cimorné throws open its doors for a full Open Day. Visitors can browse a closet sale with unique second-hand finds, accessories, and hidden gems (14:00 – 17:00), with all proceeds from stand fees going to the Berrefonds charity. Guided tours of the former glass-grinding factory run at 14:00 and 15:00.
De Fietserij hosts a hands-on workshop on changing an inner tube, with free walk-in sessions running from 12:00 to 15:30. A technician will demonstrate the technique, and visitors can have a go themselves and even try to break the speed record. Other workshops across the site include clay work, block printing, bowl colouring, and banner collage-making. A scavenger hunt keeps the youngest visitors entertained.
