They produce their entire line in Europe, in certified factories.

Production takes place mainly in Hungary in an OekoTex and GOTS-certified family business. Where a team of mostly women are employed, earning more than the minimum wage and working in good working conditions. There is a special arrangement for working mothers. This is all thanks to the strict labor legislation and the honest owners. 

Moreover, their lace underwear is produced in a factory in Grecia, the organic cotton underwear line in a factory in Turkey, and the socks at a small family business in Italy.

WORON is also very fond of nature and therefore chooses sustainable materials, such as modal and GOTS-certified organic cotton. When they work with synthetic fibers for their lace, mesh, and lace detailing, it is always made from Econyl fibers- regenerated nylon.

Ecological packaging has also been considered. For example, the shipping boxes are made of recycled paper. The laundry bags you get with certain products are made of 100% organic cotton. The rest of the trimmings from the hangtags to the packaging paper are all recycled. 

In addition, all the dyes used in the manufacture of its products are certified, non-toxic, and allergy-free.

The brand is not circular, as this is still very difficult for lingerie. Most of its fabrics contain a small percentage of elastane, a needed material that is incorporated to give elasticity and comfort to the garments. This mix of materials makes it difficult to recycle WORON underwear.

However, some efforts are made. For example, modal fiber is manufactured in a closed-loop cycle, which ensures that all the water used in its manufacture is reused over and over again.

They produce all their collections in Europe. In Hungary, Italy, Greece and Turkey, in certified factories.

However, we do not know how WORON transports the products from the factories to the shops or if they make efforts to reduce their CO2 emissions in the transport from the factories to the shops.

The founders of WORON even researched before launching the brand to make sure their choices were vegan, so they are now very honored and proud to announce that they are Peta approved vegan.

The oil used in the sewing machines of the factories they work with uses only vegetable oils.
