Villervalla
It all started with Hanne Håkansson who started a children’s shop in 1999.
But after a while she noticed that there was not enough quality unisex clothing that could be used for all occasions. So she decided to do it herself. In 2005, the brand launched its first collection. Comfort, quality and playfulness are the three main elements that Villervalla applies when creating its collections. Children should be able to have fun and in the clothes of this brand they certainly will!
Eco?
All Villervalla garments are made of natural materials, such as organic cotton, which are OekoTex-certified. The latter means that no dangerous chemicals remain on the garment. This makes it safe for your child to carry them.
COSH! would like to have a little more transparency regarding the origin and certification of the organic cotton.
Ethical?
For the production, Villervalla cooperates with companies in China, India and Turkey. The first two are BCSI-certified, these in Turkey work according to the Sedex-code. BCSI stands for Business Social Compliance Initiative and guarantees good working conditions and a fair wage.
Villervalla also supports a number of initiatives, such as Unicef and donates clothing from the brand itself to Litauenhjälpen in Olofström and Great Andoh International School in Ghana. In addition, the brand also sponsors the Läs för barn (Read to kids) project, which collects books for toddlers.
A clothing brand for children who see life through pink glasses: meaning every child! See below where you can buy this great children’s clothing brand!
