How sustainable is s.Oliver?
The company is mainly focusing on improving its material sourcing. It wants to achieve 100% more sustainable cotton by 2030 and aims to increase that percentage through its partnerships with the Better Cotton Initiative and Cotton Made in Africa. The last known percentage of more sustainable cotton was only 5%, and the target for 2020 is set at 15%. The company is mohair-free since 2020, but still uses animal-derived materials, like wool and leather, from uncertified sources.
S.Oliver Group has a Code of Conduct and is a member of the Fair Labor Association, which conducts independent audits, but doesn’t report on the audit frequency or results and doesn’t provide enough transparency concerning labor rights.
