Natural Vibes places a strong emphasis on social responsibility in its operations.

Their production process takes place under fair working conditions in Turkey certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), ensuring that every worker is treated with respect and fairness. The GOTS certification mandates stringent social criteria, including fair labour practices and safe working conditions, through regular inspections, traceability of the supply chain, and environmental standards that promote a healthier workplace.

Beyond their commitment to ethical manufacturing, Natural Vibes also contributes to environmental restoration by planting a tree for every pair of socks you buy in collaboration with the Eden Reforestation Projects. Eden Reforestation works with local communities to restore forests at scale to create jobs and protect ecosystems.

Natural Vibes offers two types of sock blends in their collection. Both collections mainly use organic cotton.

The first blend consists of 85% GOTS-certified Aegean Organic Cotton, 14% Post-Consumer Recycled Polyamide, and 1% Elastane. The second blend is made up of 90% GOTS-certified Aegean Organic Cotton, 8% conventional polyamide, and 2% elastane.

Aegean Organic Cotton is sourced from the Aegean Region of Turkey, known for its premium quality, thanks to the favourable climate and fertile soil. This organic cotton is cultivated without synthetic pesticides, fertilizers, or GMOs, ensuring practices that are more sustainable and worker-friendly.

The socks are produced in Turkey, near where the Aegean Cotton is grown, minimizing the environmental impact associated with transportation. The manufacturing process avoids any toxic chemicals, aligning with the GOTS certification to ensure the entire process is pesticide-free.

Furthermore, Natural Vibes is dedicated to reducing its carbon footprint through climate-neutral delivery methods. Plus, all packaging is 100% biodegradable.

Recycling Natural Vibes’ socks, which are made from a mix of organic cotton, synthetic fibres and elastane, isn’t straightforward because it’s hard to separate the different materials from each other.

Natural Vibes has an extensive reach within the EU, stretching from its headquarters in Luxembourg to its manufacturing and material sourcing in Turkey. They’ve committed to climate-neutral delivery methods, ensuring that their environmental impact is minimized during the transportation of goods. From Turkey, their products are shipped to 11 different countries across the European Union, reaching a diverse range of retailers, from small retailers to big fashion players.

Natural Vibes does not use any animal materials, so they are theoretically a vegan brand unless they use animal derived products in the chemicals.

While COSH has verified Natural Vibes’ Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certificate, there’s room for improvement in their transparency, particularly regarding production locations and material sourcing, as well as the specific conditions under which their products are manufactured. 

Additionally, providing detailed care instructions and end-of-life recommendations for their products could significantly enhance consumer understanding of how to prolong the life of their purchases and dispose of them responsibly.
